ISCOM: the institution for communications
The ISCOM degree is proof of a quality higher education in communications. It is French State certified. ISCOM is known by both agencies and advertisers alike for its solid, serious and professional standing. By defining communications as an essential component of company management, ISCOM rightly places a strategic approach at the heart of its training.
Diverse training for a wide open sector ISCOM training covers the widest possible range of communications careers: external/internal communications, institutional/corporate and sales communications, B2B and B2C communications, and cultural, public sector or financial communications.
Training in close proximity to the professional world ISCOM is a comunications career learning facility. Real case studies and professional instructors allow students to acquire not only theory but also to develop real skills and abilities defined alongside industry professionals. Regular training periods, applied communication activities and micro-agencies, company-led competitions and business games are all integral to building the career of each student.
Training using new technologies ISCOM puts a powerful technological infrastructure at the disposal of its students, making it possible for every student to receive training using high-performance material. The computer ‘parks’, notably in Paris, are exclusively Apple, with open access to computer rooms equipped with PowerMac G4s and G5s, or eMacs and iMac G5s with 20" monitors, high-speed internet access, an A/V studio, a multimedia room... Students may access email or other ISCOM CAMPUS intranet resources from newly opened wi-fi areas.
An international education Since 2004, the growing international dimension to ISCOM training aims to help our students efficiently integrate multinational communications teams and departments. Among key priorities are the development of bilingual sections, and training in international communications. English mother tongue and experience with international account coordination and management have also become important criteria for hiring new teachers.
Training that favours a personalised approach From personalised career support and advisement in the 1st year to ‘defining career’ tutorials in the 5th, ISCOM supervises students’ reflections on personal career development, and guides their progressive search for the sector and career that is best suited to their professional objectives
